Parramon Exportap invests half million of Euros in pioneering technology of production

Parramon Exportap, company devoted to the manufacture of caps of natural cork, microgranulated cork and special caps for liquors, distilled, oils and essences, has invested a total of 500.000 € in pioneering technology for the processes of production. One of the differential shots of Parramon Exportap is that all them phases of production incorporate technology created or patented by the own company.

During the 2014, Parramon Exportap has reinforced the lines of production with new machinery of high technological value, like the machine of artificial vision that has developed by the manufacture of caps entirely natural without the presence of stains of minerals. The year 2009, the company already developed the first machine of labeling laser by caps, a pioneering novelty to world-wide level.

The rest of machines incorporated have other functions, like the labeling to laser of the caps –that duplicates the capacity of impression-, the pulverisation of paraffin melted, the caps gluing, and the application of treatments of no-capillarity. According to Francesc Parramon, General Director of Parramon Exportap, “this investment improves the productive efficiency, with less energetic consumption, greater ease of use and more security by the workers” and has added that “with the new machinery, also increases the automation of the processes and the final quality of the product”.



From his foundation in 1956, in Cassà de la Selva (Gironès), Parramon Exportap is a company of capital 100% Catalan that has had a constant growth. Between his 800 customers, appear cellars of 13 producing countries of calm wines, sparkling and distilled of Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

The year 2013, Parramon Exportap invoiceed 6 million euros. Of the total produced that year, 65% allocated  mostly to the export in the countries of the European Union and Australia, international presence that this year has reinforced with the growth to the markets of Central America and Scotland. 

With an investment of 1,5 million Euros, Parramon Exportap has set up this year the industrial plant ART'S, installation with a capacity of production of until 20 million caps of high range by liquors and distilled, like coñac, bourbon, brandi or vodka, and also by oils and essences. It foresees that the company close this 2014 with an increase of 10% of the figure of business.

Francesc Parramon, general director of Parramon Exportap, foresees an increase of 30% of the turnover in five years, like consequence, mainly, of the entrance in the market of the products of high range.
